Insights

Meet the AWDX — the classic dish forged Tesla Model 3/Y wheel, in 18" or 19" and five finishes.
AWDX is the classic dish forged design in the Atomic Wheels Tesla 3/Y lineup — chosen by owners who want a refined, retro-modern look that stands out from the typical mesh or split-spoke crowd. Two diameters cover every Tesla 3/Y setup — 18×8.5 +30 for daily comfort and the lightest fitment, 19×9.5 +30 for a wider, more aggressive stance. Both run square (four matching wheels). Five finishes give every owner a way to dial the look: Satin Black for stealth, Satin Bronze for warmth, Satin Gunmetal for tonal subtlety, Gloss Black for high-contrast, and Gloss Brushed Grey for a polished metallic accent. All AWDX 3/Y widths share 5×114.3 PCD, 64.1 mm center bore, and 800 KG (1764 lbs) load rating per wheel. Forged 6061-T6 construction with a lifetime structural warranty.

Built for Tesla 3/Y Drivers

Classic dish forged. Two diameters. Five finishes. Model 3 & Model Y-ready.

Classic Dish Forged

AWDX brings a classic turbofan-style dish face to the Tesla Model 3/Y — refined retro-modern styling with a unique presence in any wheel well.

Forged for Power

Each AWDX is CNC-machined from a single forged 6061-T6 billet — denser grain, higher strength, and meaningfully lower weight than cast wheels for daily and aggressive Tesla 3/Y driving.

Tested to Perfection

Finite Element Analysis validates the AWDX dish geometry before production. Stress mapping under simulated impacts and load cycles confirms the wheel is shipped ready for Tesla 3/Y service.

Knurled Bead Seat

Knurled bead seats add texture where the tire contacts the wheel, keeping the tire seated under hard acceleration, braking, and aggressive cornering.

Hub-Centric for Tesla 3/Y

Precision-machined 64.1 mm center bore and 5×114.3 bolt pattern fit the Tesla 3/Y hub flush — no spacers, no adapters. Tesla OEM lug nuts and TPMS sensors drop straight in.

Five Finishes

Pick the AWDX finish that fits your Tesla — Satin Black, Satin Bronze, Satin Gunmetal, Gloss Black, or Gloss Brushed Grey. From stealth to warm metallic to high-contrast.

Tire Fitment Guide

AWDX Tesla Model 3/Y 18×8.5 +30 square setup.
Wheel Size Application Best Fit
18×8.5 +30 Model 3 (square × 4) 235/40R18
18×8.5 +30 Model Y (square × 4) 245/40R18

AWDX 18" runs a square setup — four wheels at the same 18×8.5 +30 fitment. Best fit on Tesla Model 3 is 235/40R18; on Model Y, 245/40R18 keeps the OEM-style sidewall and ride comfort. Both fit OEM Tesla TPMS sensors and lug nuts.

FAQ

What is the difference between a forged rim and a flow-formed rim?

The main difference between forged and flow-formed rims lies in their manufacturing processes and materials. Forged rims, made from 6061-T6 aluminum, are formed under extreme pressure and then precisely machined using CNC technology, resulting in ultra-strong, lightweight wheels ideal for high performance. Flow-formed rims, also known as spin-formed, start with a cast mold and are shaped using hydraulic pressure and rotation. This enhances the strength of cast rims while maintaining a more affordable price point, offering a solid balance of performance and cost.

Where do you make the wheels?

The factory where we manufacture the rims is in China. They are made with state-of-the-art technology, subjected to rigorous safety and quality control processes.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

Yes, we ship worldwide. However, purchasing a rim in stock can be expensive due to shipping costs. Therefore, we recommend placing a custom order where items are shipped directly from the factory to reduce costs. In this way you will get the same price worldwide, because the rims will be delivered from the factory.

What Tire Sizes Do You Recommend for Installing Your Rims?

We recommend sticking with OEM sizes for the best performance and fit. However, there is often some room for alternatives based on your specific needs and preferences. We’re happy to help with any questions and guide you in choosing the best tire size for your setup.

What Are Your Cancellation Policies if I Want a Refund on My Pre-Order?

If you’ve made a pre-order payment, you can cancel your order and request a refund at any time before the shipment is processed.

How Long Does It Take to Receive an Order After Making a Purchase?

We ship orders twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays using UPS Ground. Typically, it takes 2-5 business days for wheels to be delivered after shipment.

Can I Pick Up the Rims Directly if I’m Near Your Location?

Yes, you can pick up the rims directly if you’re near our location. Please note that Texas sales tax will be applied to in-state sales.

Are Your Center Caps Compatible with the OEM Ones?

Most of our center caps are 65mm, so they are not compatible with the OEM center caps.
